Week 37

This week was really great! We had transfers and I got moved to a new area called Villa Alemana (German Village). I was a little bit disappointed when I found out that I had to move but I know this is where I'm supposed to be and I'm really grateful to be here. It's crazy how the Spirit works. As soon as I got here I felt like this was exactly where I was needed. My companion is Elder Beard from Highland, Utah and he's awesome. He just finished his training so he's pretty new and pumped to get work. Both of his trainers finished their missions with him so he's glad I'm not gonna finish on him. I got here and we got right to work. One of our investigators had her baptismal interview the second day I was here and she got baptized yesterday. It was really cool. She was an example for her family and now they want to get baptized now. Also we had stake conference yesterday and President Diaz spoke and then he was able to stay for the baptism. It was really cool cause he shared his testimony with the family about going to the temple and becoming eternal. It really touched them and they're gonna get baptized. I love this work and I love the opportunity that we all have to share this amazing message. Thanks everyone for the prayers and support. I hope everyone has an awesome week.
Also I don't know if I mentioned it but I'm District Leader now so that's kinda cool

Week 36

Hey everyone! This week was really good. Really wet but really good. It poured for 4 days straight. It was really hard but it actually wasn't too bad. People actually feel bad for you when you have to walk around in the rain and sometimes they let you in just cause they feel bad. This week we were mostly looking to find more investigators. We did a lot of contacting and looking for new people to teach. We made a lot of appointments for this week so we'll see what happens. A lot of them seem like they have potential to progress. Also this week we have transfers but I'm pretty sure we're gonna stay cause we both just got here and it's only been one change. Anything could happen but I think we're gonna stay.
As far as investigators go, we had a cool lesson with this couple this week. The guy is 100% willing to join the church. He knows more about church history than some members. She is finding her testimony slowly but surely. Anyway, in the lesson he straight up asked us, "If I'm gonna get baptized, what do I have to do?" We told him they had to get married and he said "Ok" They just need to go get some stuff signed and they'll be good to go.
That's mostly it for now. Thanks for all the prayers and support. I love all you guys. I hope everyone has an awesome week.

Week 35

Hey everyone! This week was good. We had trouble finding a lot of our investigators at home but we were still able to find some people teach. Getting married isn't too popular here so we're trying help a couple of our investigators get married so they can get baptized. Also this week while we were on exchanges this week with the other Elders in our district, we ate horse steak for lunch. It was actually a lot like cow. It looks the same and it tastes similar. It's a little bit chewier but I really liked it. Also it was my companion's birthday yesterday so we had a little celebration. And one of the member's gave us a cake. So it was actually a pretty sweet day. That's mostly it for this week but thanks everyone for all the prayers and support. I hope everyone has a great week.

Week 34

Hey everyone! This week was awesome. Mainly because we got to hear from the leaders of our church. Conference was so awesome. We were lucky enough to be able to watch in English. It really was something special. Maybe it's just cause I'm a missionary but I loved it. I learned lots of things that I want to put into practice now and after the mission. It was really really great. I'm so grateful for the restored gospel. The more I learn, the more I realize that this is more than just the true church. This is the only way to be truly and eternally happy forever. And we have the responsibility to share this message and help others find their way too. I love all you guys and I appreciate all the prayers and support. May we all put into practice at least one thing that we learned from Conference and get better every day. I hope everyone has an awesome week.

We made a buttload of no bake cookies this week. Husband us (not right now but after the mission)
